I've only seen this animal one time - It was in front of my office and it was with lots of friends that all looked similar. They buggy eyes creeped me out and I only snapped one pic. Can anyone tell me more infor on these creatures? |

I am not sure if this is even and animal, fungus or disease. My best guess is that it is some kind of insect egg. |

Watch the video below. - - - - Mayflies are the fastest water to air transforming insect in the world. They swim up to the surface, and just jump out of their larval skin. Within a second or so, they are flying. This is because they are a very ancient group of insects, that many fish have made a living by eating them. The fish don't see them until they appear with their wings on the surface. They've been pressured to become faster and faster at escaping. They spend their larval stage under rock |

These creatures hatched from eggs that sat through last summer and through the winter. They were forgotten, but appeared when water was added to an aquarium that had their eggs in it. From the same dirt, Clam Shrimp emerged as well. There was no salt added to the water, although there might have been some in the dirt. These creatures swim stomach-up. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Order: Anostraca - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - |

Large insect. About 10-15cm long not including antennas. Wings almost exactly mimic long leaves. Back of abdomen a vivid pinky purple colour. Back legs look good for jumping but it doesn't look like a grasshopper. Perhaps some kind of leaf looking stick insect? |

I find these on my eggplants and tomatoes. I believe the nymphs are black with thorny spines. They seem to be tended by ants, but they are not aphids (I don't think). I also believe that the adults are green and look like a round blade. They fly. |

Rainbow Lorikeets feed mainly on nectar an pollen from native plants such as Grevillias, Banksias, Eucyluptus and Bottlebrush (Callistemon) However their diet also consists of various fruits and will take a bite out of every immature apple on your tree! The Rainbow Lorikeet is also considered a pest in places where it has been introduced such as Western Australia and New Zealand. Rainbow Lorikeets are common in suburban gardens in Eastern Australia and are encouraged by many gardeners (who aren |

These are excellent pond animals, they devour mosquito nymphs. They work well with Triops living in the same pond. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Phylum: Arthropoda Subphylum: Crustacea Class: Branchiopoda Subclass: Phyllopoda - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Known from the fossil record, to be from at least the Devonian period (The Age of Fish). The Native Drone Fly is a brightly coloured insect with large strange spotted eyes. The body is black and orange striped. They have a hovering flight and make a droning noise like a bee, hence the common name. They feed on nectar therefore often found around flowers |

This lizard looks a lot like a collared lizard, but it's stripes on it's back, cast doubt on that. I would guess that this is a female. As it has no bright coloration. |
