Very little is known about this fungus. It is Provisionally classified as Endangered in Great Britain, and fully protected in the UK under Schedule 8 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. Digging up fungi without permission could also constitute theft under the Theft Act of 1968.it has a woody, slender, and scaly stem that can typically reach 40 centimeters (15.7 in) in length. Although its general appearance resembles a more typical agaric with stem and gills, atop the stem is a spore sac, c |

I found this mushroom while hiking. Just the top of the cap was visible under a few pieces of decayed wood. After removing the wood, a long stemmed beauty emerged. At the base of the mushroom is a white, feathery like mold/growth. The stem and cap are dark red. Can anyone identify this for me? |

Starts as ordinary white orb, then starts displaying an orange "X" as it starts to split. Then turns into two intersecting loops with dark green goo inside. Quite odd. Have not been able to identify. Thanks. |

A strange Mushroom that appeared in the bathroom of my house after a botched up plumbing job left us with leaks left, right and center. We're a little worried about being harmful, so want to take the right care when removing it. Any suggestions on what it might be and whether or not we should be cautious? Updated: The shape and colour has changed slightly, with the cap being all brown and the stalk looking thinner. |

It's just recently started showing up. There are several of them grouped together. They have bent and fallen over near the top of the stem. |

Found on underside of log in small shelving cluster. Sparkling cap. Pale yellow gills, close. Closest key I have found was P. serotinus, but no picture seems accurate. Any ideas? |

Brown on top of cap which gradiates outward to a lighter brown. The most recognizable feature is the black stem. Stem is fibrous and central, did not appear to be rooting. |

I'm not sure what this is, found it growing in clusters out of the ground. Near a birch tree, possible growing out of the underground roots. |
